Frequently Asked QuestionsYou’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.
How much does FastCAT cost?
Regular bus fares per ride are $1.50. A 30 day pass is $55.00 or you can buy a semester FASTPass for $100.00 individually or $62.50 in groups of 20 or more. FASTPasses can be purchased at the Columbia Transit Office at the Historic Wabash Bus Station at 126 North 10th Street.
How much does it cost to transfer from FastCAT to another Columbia Transit route?
Nothing. Transfers are free. Just tell your driver you are planning to transfer when you board the bus, and they will give you a transfer ticket. Give the ticket to the driver of the bus you transfer to when you board.
How do I know which bus is a FastCAT bus?
The electronic marquee on the front of every Columbia Transit bus says which route it is running at the time. There are also FastCAT Express signs on the side of each FastCAT bus.
Does FastCAT stop running when the colleges and university are out of session?
No. The FastCAT route will continue to run year round, however, the schedule will be slightly modified during academic breaks. Updated schedules will always be posted on ridefastcat.com, the Columbia Transit facebook page and the @Columbia_MO_Bus Twitter.
Where can I find updates about detours and route changes?
The @Columbia_MO_Bus twitter is a great way to get up to the minute informations about detours due to road closures or any other changes in the routes.
Will FastCAT run on days it snows?
Yes. Keep in mind that the route may be running slower than normal to ensure the safety of our riders. We’ll be sure to post messages on ridefastcat.com, twitter and facebook when snow schedules are in effect.
